It is the goal of the Planning office to serve all HardyCounty residents in an efficient and professional manner. We strive to provide the best services possible in addition to full enforcement of county ordinances. As growth is a natural part of progress but it is important to direct and manage growth so as to prevent urban sprawl and protect our rural way of life.

NEW What is a Comprehensive Plan?
The Hardy Comprehensive Plan sets the tone for and guides the development and redevelopment of Hardy County. It is an advisory document that help set policies for Counties indentifty, image and design; land use, growth and redeveloopment; environment, parks and open space; transportation and infrastructure, and the overall palnning process. It addresses these broad issues within the county with an eye 10 tp 15 years into the future. The Hardy County Planning Commission, with public input and the support of the Hardy County Planning Office, Planning will author the Plan revision.
